She was predeceased by: her husband James Clinton Brown; her parents, Elias Carr and Mattie Martin Gann; and her brothers, Elias Foy Gann and Frank Carr Gann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Haithcox (Joe) of Asheboro and Myrna Brown of Belmont; her stepchildren, Joanne McNeill (Ray) of Haines City, FL. and Bruce Brown of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Keith Haithcox (Lori) of Pinebluff and Natalie H. Lange (Jason) of Alabaster; her stepgrandchildren, Mark McNeill (Deena), Tim McNeill (Mary), RaeAnne M. Grieco (Matt), Lorrie Lowe (Page) and Becky Hayes (Jeff); and her great grandchildren, James P. Haithcox and Briggs A. Lange. She is also survived by seven step-great-grandchildren.
