He is survived by: his mother Solveig "Sue" Norman Wales; his wife Deborah "Deb" Wales; his children, Danielle Wales (Raynor Ricks III), Stuart Wales (Elliott Soufiane) and Andrea Olson (Aaron); his grandchildren, Colin, Preston, Catherine, Gabrielle and Carter; his siblings, Keith Wales (Patricia) and Jeanette Stevens (Michael); and his nieces, Courtney Loos (Justin), Cristi Jones (Cameron), Melanie Stevens and Sarah Stevens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Eric's honor to Randolph Hospice, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
