She was predeceased by: her husband James Millard Gunter, Sr.; her parents, Carl Cyrus and Hazel Stout Hinshaw; and her son James Millard Gunter, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Julia Hepler of Thomasville and Jeff Gunter; her brother Paul Hinshaw of Asheboro; and also, Stacey, Myrtle and Gladys of Asheboro. She is also survived by grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren.
