He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Edgar Goins and Cora Bell Goins; his siblings, Dallas Goins, Myrtle Smith and Ruth Lineberry; and his grandson Kyle Richardson.
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Goins; his children, Anita Goins O'Donnell (Sean) of Julian, Michael Goins (Trina) of Asheboro and Randy Miller (Liz) of Asheboro; his brother Elmer Goins; his daughter-in-law Jana Richardson; his grandsons, Christopher Goins, Dillon Goins and Alex O'Donnell; and his great grandchild Kyle Richardson.
