She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil McDonald Sheffield and Agnes Marie Welch; her husband Brownie Pitts; her children, Rhonda Gail Lawrence and Bruce Shaw; and her brothers, Junior Sheffield and Wayne Sheffield.
She is survived by: her sons, Brian Shaw (Annette) of Holden Beach, Ricky Shaw of Asheboro and Rodney Pitts of Greensboro; her siblings, Sandra Joines (Buddy) of Asheboro and Sam Sheffield (O'Dene) of Robbins; and her sister-in-law Betty Sheffield of Asheboro. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
