It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Simmons Bazen (Asheboro, North Carolina), born in Brunswick, North Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherwood Simmons and Shirley Holden Simmons; her husband Loranzie Bazen; her sons, Leonard, Chris and Scott Bazen; and her brother Woody Simmons.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Wilson (Jeff); her daughter-in-law Amy Lax; her sisters, Maxie Blizzard, Mary Clemmons and Wanda Register; her grandchildren, Shawn Bazen, Jacob Briles (Caroline), Ashley Serrano, Chad Bazen (Amber), Jessica Bolton (Trevor), Misty Robertson (Josh), Lindsey Buchser (John), Cameron Bazen, Trevor Bazen (Natalie), Matthew Jones (Kandace), Brittany Lax and Zach Lax; and her great grandchildren, Kirsten Bazen, Seth Bazen, Charlotte Serrano, Waylon Bolton, Mia Bolton, Mason Robertson, Aubree Robertson, Kaylee Robertson, Zoee Robertson, Maverick Robertson, Ella Jones, Liam Jones and Emma Bazen.
