He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Garner and Annie Welch Garner; his brothers, Joseph Garner and Henry Garner; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Garner.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Ridge Garner; his children, Emily Wilson (Stephen) and Brooks Garner; his grandchildren, Sara Thompson (Zack) and Paige Garner; and his stepgrandchildren, Victoria Juran (Tom), Carolyn Brewster (Will), Amelia Juran, Zachary Brewster, Sarah Brewster, Isaac Brewster and Ashley Lowerey.
