He was predeceased by: his father Boyd Hayes Garren; and his grandson Easton Matthews. He is survived by: his daughters, Brittany Matthews (Brandon) of Florence, SC and Brandi Morris (Justin) of Asheboro; his mother Rosa Crotts Garren of Asheboro; his siblings, Clairmae Robbins of Asheboro, Richard Garren of Asheboro, Roger Garren (Trish) of Asheboro and Jerry Garren (Angie) of Asheboro; and his grandchildren, Holdyn Matthews, Hudson Matthews and Kimber Morris.
