He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Fate Sr. and Geneva Holston Fate; his wife Mary Louise Wright Fate; and his siblings, Alvin Fate, Jr., Steve Fate and Albertine Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Fate, Dennis Fate, Jr., Elizabeth Fate and Angela Fuller (Jeremy). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
