He was predeceased by: his parents, Lexie Boone and Edna Frye Boone; his sister Nancy Boone; and his son Jimmy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Wyleen Boone; his daughters, Theresa S. Wilder of Morehead City and Robin S. McNeill (Howard) of Archdale; his sister Jane Crotts (Carl) of Seagrove; his grandchildren, Will Wilder (Katherine-Parker), Elise Merkley (Tracy), Courtney Bless (Alex), Harrison McNeill and Daniel McNeill; and his great grandchild William Parker Wilder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
