He was predeceased by: his father William Grady Hoover; and his sister Phyllis E. Hoover. He is survived by: his wife Delores J. Hoover; his children, Renee Davenport (Michael) of Troy, Cande Avilez (Tyler Owens) of Asheboro, Lisa Rodriguez of Biscoe, Sherry Dennis of Candor and Larry W. Dennis of Robbins; his mother Lois Hoover of Asheboro; and his brothers, Eddie Hoover (Susan) of Asheboro and Lawrence Hoover (Rita) of Ramseur.
