He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clinton Peele and Gladys Sara Swaney Peele; his former wife Elizabeth Darby Peele; his son Steve William Peele; and his siblings, Mary Lee Joyce, Robert Clinton Peele, James Luther Peele and Pearly Jane Rives.
He is survived by: his wife June Boyd Peele; his children, Debra Sue Sigmon (Bill) of Denton and Jerry Wayne Peele (Teresa) of Denton; his stepchildren, Rita Lawson Smith of Snow Camp and Ricky Lawson of Ramseur; and his sister-in-law Louise Peele of Asheboro. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
