He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Threadgill and Clara Beechum Threadgill; his wife Alberta Threadgill; and his brothers, Edwin Threadgill, T. C. Threadgill, Roy Threadgill and Kirby Threadgill.
He is survived by: his daughters, Treva Sturgill (Michael) of Raleigh, Hilda Luther (Terry) of Asheboro and Lynn Fowler (James) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Dale Luther (Teresa), Marcie Cooper (Randy), Katie Edmondson (Michael), Clay Sturgill (Danielle), Rachel Bowman and Megan Williamson (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Jordan Luther, Haley Lawson Fuller, Chloee Cooper, Jacob Edmondson, Lily Edmondson, Ava Sturgill, Isaac Sturgill, Sydney Bowman, Joshua Edmonson, Noah Sargent, Jacob Sargent and Annabelle Sargent.
