With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Barnes of Asheboro, North Carolina, born in Sylva, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Earl Denton and Irene Matthews Denton; her husband James E. Barnes; and her siblings, Robert Denton and Edna Denton Walkingstick.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rebecca Brawley (Chuck), Diane Maier (Tom), Janet Elmore (Timmy), Teresa Cagle (Harvey) and Jennifer Barnes Kojoori (Dean). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
