She was predeceased by: her parents, Huel Kinney and Irene Cox Kinney; and her children, Jeffery Martin Brown and Nadine Elise Brown. She is survived by: her husband Darrell T. Johnson; her daughter Jennifer Phillips (Jim) of Oak Island; and her brother Carl Edward Kinney of Ramseur. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
