It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda Bumgarner of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Lee Shortsleeve and Mary Esther Hoover Shortsleeve; her son Derrick Bryan Bumgarner; and her great grandchild Greyson Hodge. She is survived by: her significant other Donald Ray Bumgarner; her children, Stacey Hodge (William) of Asheboro, Jac Bumgarner of Asheboro and Matt Bumgarner (Wendy) of Knoxville, TN; her sister Susan Shortsleeve Hill (Kenneth) of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Logan, Liza Ray, Carrie, Laura, Drew, Hayley, Morgan, Luke, Jake, Bryanna and Ryker; and her pet Jasper.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Browers Wesleyan Church (1734 Mack Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
