He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Delbert "C. D." Hill and Jennie Robbins Hill; his wife Jean Hill; and his brothers, Charles D. Hill, Earl Bryan Hill and John Jason Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Cassandra "Cassie" Thomas (Keith) of Trinity and Bobby Hill, Jr. (Martha) of Asheboro; his sister Margaret Ann Hogan (Thurman) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, April McDonald of Winston-Salem and Kelleigh Tarlton of Myrtle Beach, SC; his great grandchildren, Austin McDonald, Rebecca McDonald and Mikey Didyoung; and his pet Sassy.
