He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Tolen and Alistine Conrad Tolen; his former wife Doris Jean Tolen; his daughter Deanne Tolen Young; his brother Billy Joe Tolen; his son-in-law Jeff Wilson; his mother-in-law Ida Louise Price; and his granddaughter Kelsey Rose Brouillette.
He is survived by: his wife Pamilla Susan Tolen; his children, Dorlene Tolen Wilson of Asheboro, NC, Delynda Tolen Mehlhop (Andrew) of Spring, TX and Robert "Bobby" Tolen, Jr. (Kelly Mount) of Flemington, NJ; his stepchildren, Kim Brouillette (Chris Matheny) of Concord, NC and Jason Huddle (Kristy) of Concord, NC; his sister Mary Ellen Gargus of Spring, TX; and his son-in-law Richard Young, Sr. of Randleman, NC. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
