He is survived by: his wife Vickie Leonard Yates; his children, Greg Yates (Michele) of Lexington and Christy McGuire of Lexington; his sisters, Joyce Mitchell (Wesley) of Asheboro and Betty McElreath of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Stephanie Seay (Michael), Derrick Yates, Javan McGuire, Charity McGuire, Bethany Yates and Bethany Barton; and his great grandchildren, Maylee and Addison.
