She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Burns; her son Ricky Burns; her parents, Ellis Williams and Valley Hatley Williams; and her sister Edna Poindexter.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Walker (Bill) of Franklinville and Jeff Burns of Asheboro; and her sister Jewel Hill (Jimmy) of Asheboro. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
