It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Hogg Sutherland III of Ash, North Carolina, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on November 7, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas II and Frances Neville Sutherland. He is survived by: his former wife Mary Calhelhas; his wife Mary C. Sutherland; his sisters, Mary Fisher and Fran Crosby; his nieces, Rebecca Brown (Mitchell) and Tracy Dougherty (Guy); his nephew Paul Fisher; and also, Lorraine DeGraff (Fred) and Kelly Trotta. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
