She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Goins and Mary Ann Moss Goins; her husband Thomas Milton Hickman; and her granddaughter Melissa Dawn Coates. She is survived by: her children, Judith "Judy" Coates-Carroll (Billy) of Conway, SC, Tommy Hickman of Calabash, NC and Jimmy Hickman (Barbara) of Calabash, NC; and her caregiver Linda Robbins. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
