He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Whitted and Bonnie Mathews Whitted; and his siblings, Sylvia Smith, Ruth Stanford and Dennis Whitted.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Brock Whitted; his sons, Todd Whitted (Debbie) and Mark Whitted (Wendy LaBarre); his grandchildren, Kalee (Christina), Bronson and Chaz (Hailey); his stepgrandchildren, Brandon, Brooke, Nick and Katie; and his sisters, Lottie Trull and Vinnie Whitted. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
