Sandra L. Barkei Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra L. Barkei in Arden, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Berweger and Irene Berweger; and her siblings, Bill and Janice. She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Barkei; her children, John, Theresa, Terri Guerini (David), Patricia and Trish; her grandchildren, Katie, Jen, Alison (Terri), Johnathan (Hans) and Emily (John); and her siblings, Betty Schroeder of Ashland, Jack Berweger (Kathy) of Las Vegas, NV, Nancy Salawater (Don) of Mountain Home, AR, Richard Berweger (Donna) of Eau Claire, WI and Irene Oliphant of Mason, WI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because her personal and professional life was dedicated to the bodily, emotional and spiritual care of others, and in lieu of flowers, we suggest donations be made to two of the causes she cared about deeply: St Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, 109 Crescent Hill Drive, Arden, NC 28704 or ABCCM at https://www.abccm.org Services will be held on Friday, January 20th at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 109 Crescent Hill Dr., Arden, NC.
