It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Parks in Arden, North Carolina, born in Wagner, South Dakota, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Samuel departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Samuel may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Samuel leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Parks and Ethel Parks; and his sister Barbara Parks. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Parks; his son-in-law Greg Kintz; and his siblings, John Parks, Katie Parks, Diane Thornton and Larry Parks.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ardenwoods Retirement Community Clubhouse (2400 Appalachian Blvd, Arden, NC 28704).

“My husband was diagnosed of Parkinsons disease 2 years ago, when he was 49. He had a stooped posture, tremors, right arm does not move and also a pulsating feeling in his body. He was placed on Senemet for 8 months and then Sifrol was introduced and replaced the Senemet, during this time span he was also diagnosed with dementia. He started having hallucinations, lost touch with reality. Suspecting it was the medication I took him off the Siferol (with the doctor’s knowledge) and started him on P”
