Richard Schmalz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Schmalz of Arden, North Carolina, who passed away on May 30, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Orpha and William; his brother William; his wife Kathryn Schmalz; his children, Richard L. Schmalz Jr., Lori (Daniel Charles) and Elizabeth L. Schmalz; his grandsons, Brian Charles (Ruby) and Jason Cochran (Candice); and his great grandchildren, Pervis, Keylana and Giovanni.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, Mr. Schmalz will be interred in Hendersonville until his wish to "go home and rest in Kentucky dirt" at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, KY can be fulfilled.
