She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. S. Donald Fortson Jr.; and her parents, Malcolm Benjamin Huie and Sarah Helen Crittenden Huie of Sarasota Florida. She is survived by: her sons, S. Donald Fortson III (Nancy S. Fortson) of Matthews, NC and Malcolm Benjamin Fortson (Nancy C. Fortson) of Black Mountain, NC.; her grandchildren, Caroline, Sam, Noah, Haylee and Hannah; and her sisters, Helen Bahr, Anne Newman, Lisa Ware and Ginny Nixon.
