It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Bennett Jr. (Arden, North Carolina), born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on July 4, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Vance Bennett, Sr. and Inez Griffin; his wife Delores Ray Bennett; and his granddaughter Crystal Bennett. He is survived by: his children, David Bennett, Hilton Bennett (Terry) and Sandra Metz; his grandchildren, Chris Bennett, Damon Taylor and Levi Bennett; his great grandchildren, Hank and Leia Bennett; and his sister Shirley Bailey. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
