JoAnn Bowen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2022, at the age of 86, JoAnn Bowen of Arden, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Raines and Elsie Dockery Raines; her husband Hoyle C. Bowen; and her brothers, David, Gene and Roscoe Raines.
She is survived by: her sons, Don Bowen (Robin) of Elkin, NC and Dennis Bowen (Glenda) of Fletcher; and her sisters, Joyce Lance of Fletcher, Loree Anderson (Joe) of Charlotte, NC and Sandy Ledford (Clyde) of Inman, SC. She is also survived by four granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that you consider making a contribution in JoAnn's memory to either the Shriners Children's Hospital or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
