She is survived by: her husband Avery Flay Carpenter; her sons, Steve Carpenter of Fort Collins, Paul Carpenter of Arden and Tim (Tonia Carpenter); her grandchildren, LeeAnn (Griffin Martin), Christine Carpenter of Fletcher and T. J. Carpenter of Tifton; and her brothers, Bobby (Jo Ann Huskey) and Theron (Brenda Huskey). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jennie was cared for by Homestead Hospice in Tifton and, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Homestead Hospice, 110 East 10th Street, Suite A, Tifton, GA 31794.
