He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Wright Lingerfelt; his children, Sherry Levi (Kerry) of Millspring, NC and Thomas Lingerfelt (Sonya) of Asheville; his grandchildren, Bethany Ann Lingerfelt, James Alan Levi and James John W. Lingerfelt; and his siblings, Rosemary Moran (Mike) of High Point, Dottie Queen of Asheville, Nancy Jefferson (Nathan) of Leicester and Smith Lingerfelt (Rhonda) of Raleigh.
