He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Bishop Souther; his parents, William Joseph Souther and Edna Octavia Souther; and his son James Michael Souther. He is survived by: his daughter Flossie Souther Krouse (Harrison Henry Krouse) of Inman; his grandchildren, James Ervin Freeman (Tiffani), Brooke Allison Bartolomeo (Brandon) and Paul Harrison Krouse (Virginia); and his great grandchildren, Maci Lillie Bartolomeo, Kingston James Bartolomeo, Hayden Andrew Bartolomeo and Eli Mark Habel.
