He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Shorter of Washington; his significant other Jean Brown Shorter; his brother Sammy Lee Shorter; and his son-in-law Leonard Fox. He is survived by: his children, Robert Lee Vojtech (Karen) and Lori Vojtech Fox; his grandchildren, Lori Beth Clarke (Steve), Leigh Ann Leammookda (Kye), Lindsay Fox and Robert Adam Vojtech; his great grandchildren, Harrison Clarke and Mia Leammookda; and his friend Nancy Meadows.
