It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Gene Swanger (Arden, North Carolina), who passed away on March 27, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John Henry Swanger; and his siblings, Joe Bob Swanger and Mitzi Swanger Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Betty Whitaker Swanger; his sons, Gary Gene Swanger, II and Mark C. Swanger (Stephenie); his grandchildren, Andrea N. Greer (Roman), Ashley N. Smith (Andrew) and Avery M. Swanger; and his sister Patty Green (James).
