She was predeceased by: her husband Clifton George Moffitt; her parents, Melvin Searcy and Elsie Searcy (Wright); her sister Ruth Ballard; and her brother-in-law Col. Arthur T. Ballard.
She is survived by: her children, Lynne Guge (Scott) of Waynesville, Brian Moffitt (Sharon) of Statesville and Neal Moffitt (Janice) of Gastonia. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
