He was predeceased by: his mother Lucille Martin Oravec; and his stepfather George Oravec. He is survived by: his wife Alice Ross Bryant Slater; his daughters, Alyson Brynea Schultz (Kevin) of Gastonia and Kristina Lynne Baker (Daniel) of Dallas; his siblings, Jim Oravec (Hobby) of Everett, PA, Linda Waldock of Huron, OH, Suzanne McDonald of Brooksville, FL, Debbie Deason (Paul) of Aiken, SC and Georgia Silva (Carlos) of Hudson, NC; his grandchildren, Jessica, Lauren Schultz, Matthew, Aaron and Luke Baker; and his sister-in-law Tanya Meixner (Harmon) of Lubbock, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great friends.
