He was predeceased by: his parent Osburne Moffitt; and his sister Martha Dalton. He is survived by: his spouse Faye Moffitt (Searcy) of Asheville; his parent Shirley Moffitt (Nanney); his children, Lynne Guge (Scott) of Waynesville, Brian Moffitt (Sharon) of Statesville and Neal Moffitt (Janice) of Gastonia; and his siblings, Dean Moffitt of Bessemer City, NC, Betty Buckner of Lake Lure and Peggy Congdon of Black Mountain. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
