He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Penland and Louise Franklin Penland; and his wife Dawn B. Penland. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Keith (Robert) and Yvonne Ferguson (Russell); his grandchildren, Alex Allen, Haley Moreno (Carlos) and Kaden Ferguson; and his brother David Penland.
