We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2021, at the age of 91, Barbara Joyce Goforth Banks (Arden, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Goforth and Estelle Frye Goforth; her husband Robert Earle Banks; her son Richard Allen Banks; her grandson Aaron J. Austin; her brothers, Walter A. Goforth, Jr., Cecil G. Goforth and Bruce C. Goforth; and her great great grandchildren, Marques Jamal Austin and Alex Banks.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Banks Pierce (Bruce) and David Banks (Cheryl); and her brother Howard Douglas Goforth. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church or to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
