With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Annie Gasperson Metcalf of Arden, North Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Oliver Gasperson and Martha Belle Shepherd Gasperson; her husband Everett Metcalf; and her siblings, Oscar, Henry, Earl, Allen, Lynn, Horace, Lorene and Celia.
She is survived by: her children, Ima Jean Barton, Ray Metcalf and Rick Metcalf; her grandchildren, Annette Merrill, Karen Roche, Kevin Metcalf and Ashley Schlagenhauf; her great grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Alex, Brandon, Celia, Malachi and Abigail; her sisters, Shirley Bostic and Clara; and her brother-in-law Richard Hayes. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
