With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Andre Mills Sr. of Arden, North Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 2, 2021 at the age of 64. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley J. Freeman and Irene E. Mills; his grandson Tylon Burdine-Resper; his sister Delores H Freeman-Hamilton; and his sister-in-law Rechell H. Mills.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Mills of Newport Tennessee; his children, Neshell Lynch, Shekikia Resper, Deja Mills of Newport Tennessee, William Carmichael and Andre Mills Jr. of Newport Tennessee; his siblings, Adrian Mills Sr., Stanley Carter of Giraud Georgia, Lynette Mills, Linda Withrow, Deborah Rippy, Barbara Freeman, Anita F, Parker and Carolyn Freeman; and his grandchildren, Faizon Payton, Jaydus Pratt, Jamari Wynn of Arden, NC, Xavier Branch of Newport Tennessee, Karmine Carmichael, Zylla Carmichael, Za'Riah Carmichael of Newport Tennessee, Nevaeh Gresham-Resper and Amaria Burdine-Resper of Winston Salem, NC.. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
