With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willis Pinkney Blackman (Archdale, North Carolina), born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on February 1, 2019 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Jane "Dot" Robinson; and his brothers, Cleveland Blackman, Melton Blackman and Mack Blackman. He is survived by: his children, Jayne Burnette (Gil, Mike Fergerson), Pat, Jimmy Fergerson (Debbie, Terry Fergerson), Lynn, David Fergerson (Diane, Brenda Woody) and Harold; and his sister Ruth Bittles. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
