He was predeceased by: his parent Cletus Newton; and his wife Nancy Blackwell Newton. He is survived by: his parent Mildred Hilliard Newton; his sister Judith Van Anda (Jim) of Apopka, FL; and his nephews, Jonathan Anda and Jeffrey Van Anda.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
