He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Holder, Sr. and Flora Williams Holder; his significant other Gracie Virginia Holder; his grandchildren, Ginnie Hollifield and Kevin Leonard; and his brothers, Richard Holder, Billy Holder and James Holder.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Leonard (Roy) of Sophia, Patricia Hollifield (Ricky) of Taylorsville, Darrell Holder (Diane) of Trinity and Joseph Holder (Elizabeth) of Mebane; and his siblings, Annie Smith of High Point, Lois Tesh (Kenneth) of Asheboro, Juanita Smith of Albemarle and Bobby Holder (Patricia) of Archdale. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
