He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Edwards and Mildred Willis Edwards; his sister Shirley Edwards; and his mother-in-law Mildred Sexton. He is survived by: his wife Geneva Montgomery Edwards; his daughter Kimberly Edwards Early (Jim) of Winston-Salem; his adoptive son Jaiden Tyler Edwards; his sisters, Janice Edwards of Chattanooga, TN, Susan Lett (Bruce) of Archdale and Melba Gibbs (Allen) of Archdale; his grandchildren, Jonathan Gerringer, Dani Gerringer, Mason Womble and Logan Womble; his great grandchild Adely Gerringer; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Mullis (Butch) of Trinity and Diane McDowell (David) of Trinity.
