She was predeceased by: her parents, James L. Hooper and Verdell McMahan Hooper; her sister Frances Hunt; her daughter Cheryl Greene; her son-in-law John Whisner; and her grandson Josh Chisgar.
She is survived by: her sister Brenda Chisholm (Bill) of Ramseur; her daughter Melissa "Misty" Whisner; and her grandchildren, Nicholas "Chase" Simmons, Justin Whisner (Brandi), Courtney Soto Roman (Eulogio) and Derrick Whisner (Bridgett). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
