We bid farewell to Mae Isabell Essick McQueen of Archdale, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 2, 2025 at the age of 82. Mae touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Fred McQueen; her mother Ella Mae Essick; and her siblings, Ann Essick Manns, Wayne Essick and Eddie Essick.
She is survived by: her sons, Bill Wood, Glenn Wood and Wayne Ladd; her grandsons, Danny Wood, Walter Glenn Wood, II, Waylon Wood and William J. Wood; and her great grandchildren, Walter Glenn Wood, III and Wynonah Wood.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the North Lexington Baptist Church Cemetery (201 Mize Rd, Lexington, NC 27295). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
