He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul Gardner and Hazel Hazzard Gardner; his wife Barbara Williams Gardner; his son Keith Gardner; and his siblings, Robert Gardner, Donald Gardner, Edna Cranford and Margie Clanton.
He is survived by: his fiancé Robbie Adcock of Hamlet; his children, Jeremy Gardner of Archdale and Amy Nagy (Bill) of Trinity; and his siblings, Roy Gardner (Myra) of High Point, John Paul Gardner, Jr. (Lavonne) of Trinity, Michael E. Gardner (Elaine) of Huntersville and Connie Cox (Ray) of High Point.
