He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Wilson and Beulah Shoemaker Wilson; his wife Betty Kearns Wilson; and his brother Rev. Darrell Wilson of Winston-Salem. He is survived by: his son Philip "Phil" C. Wilson (Angie) of Thomasville; his grandchildren, Andrew Craig Wilson and Hannah Rose Wilson; and his brother-in-law Cecil Jones of Archdale. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Sure Foundation Baptist Church in Randleman where he was known for his shouting.
