Imogene Craven Obituary
ARCHDALE – Imogene Cook Craven, 87, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born August 24, 1936, in Graham County and was the daughter of the late Isaiah "Ike" Washington and Ruby Crisp Cook. She worked as a silk screener for Gulton Femco Silk Screening for many years and later worked with Dar-Ran Furniture Industries. She was a longtime, faithful active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Thomasville. Imogene was an avid Carolina Tar Heel basketball fan and as a devoted grandmother, her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.R. "Bud" Craven, Jr.; and brother, Kenneth "Ken" Cook.
She is survived by two sons, Tony Page (Debbie) and Gary Craven (Beverly), both of Sophia; eight grandchildren, Justin Page (Tasha), Nathanael Craven (Aracely), Kristen Craven, Emily Craven, Zackary Craven, Hannah Craven, Madison Craven and Ellie Craven; and two great-grandchildren, Destiny Page and Nick Page.
Funeral service celebrating Imogene's life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 2, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (423 Cecil Street, Thomasville) with Pastor Floyd Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.
